I like it, but how short do you have to be to fit in the back seat?

Shouldn’t be a problem with the sedan. The coupe is confirmed to have 0 rear legroom.

That slope at the rear looks like it works well if you are a horseman from Sleepy Hollow.

I do like it, except for the front badge placement. The hell is up with that?

It looks like the adhesive holding it up wore off something.

The similarities are mostly just in the greenhouse, but...

The bottom of the Civic’s rear quarter window doesn’t kick up as much as the A7 and all the A7 quarter-window-copiers.

Not even from the back? With the huge tail lights and raised buttocks?

The A7 has a slinkly and sleek butt that flows with the car’s striaight line.
The roof line slopes like a coupe, but it doesn’t meet the very end of the tail of the car because of its length.
The Cross Tour and now the Civic’s rear end looks like Kim Kardashian’s ass caught swinging upwards in mid-twerk.

From the front 3/4 view, there is way too much visual mass up high at the back. There isn’t enough plane change from roof line to rear fascia, so it looks chopped off. Except that the rear axle is tucked so far forward of the rear bumper that the rear overhang is a mile long.
Because of that, the rear wheel looks buried under a sea of rear fender AND the C pillar.
At the rear, the wavy belt line accentuates a convex fender while the straight, flat indentation from the C-pillar rearward tries clumsily to make a concave transition from the convex rear fenders and C-pillar tumblehome. The indentation tries to suggest a plane change between the C-pillar and rear deck, but instead makes the greenhouse look too plump and bulging at the back as it resolves in a blunt, bulbous boattail effect.
In other words, it looks like shit.
Successful fastback designs maintain a good wheel-to-body proportion and low rear visual mass. They gracefully transition the C-pillar into the deck. A long wheelbase is usually necessary. It’s why the A7 works so well and the 3-Series GT doesn’t.
The Civic is far more 3-Series GT than A7.

I am so weirdly conflicted about this haha. I feel like the greenhouse doesn’t necessarily match the rest of the body, but I like how it looks too.

Looks really good. I do see a tad of the crosstour but not enough to be compared too. I highly doubt the back is too low to sit in ether just look at the A7. I think it will do well and is clearly better looking than 99% of its competitors. Even better than the Mazda 3 (not a big fan of massive grills)
